Rev’d Steff Wright and her family moved to Brandon in August 2021 after she had completed her training at Spurgeon’s College in South Norwood. Steff grew up in outer East London but is getting less lost living south of the river! She realised she wanted to follow Jesus at 11 years old and was Baptised at 14. Her life has involved many different roles and responsibilities from community care work to administration roles and IT support in education. Steff then trained as a primary school teacher before being called into ministry.
There are many things a minister or pastor does in their role and Steff is no different! She leads and preaches in most of our services and is available to support our leaders and members when they lead services or preach. Steff also listens to, visits with, and meets with members, as well as organising rotas, and working with others in planning and guiding the life of the church, and helping to ensure safeguarding requirements are met.
When she has space, she likes to meet with other local leaders and as well as her part of our membership of our local Citizens group and is a committed governor in a local primary school.
In her ‘spare time’, Steff is studying for an MA(hons) in Theology and Mission and is Padre to our local RAF Air Cadet squadron.
